Retooled, rebuilt, refounded. Using your feedback, our Product Team took our favorite late-season pants and molded them into a rock-solid piece of gear built for nastier conditions. Employing the Catalyst's 2-layer soft shell fabric as the foundation, we've implemented features that increase durability, waterproofing, and breathability. Doing so creates a hybrid pant that provides the cold weather hunter with a full arsenal to tackle steep mountains, cold temps, and deep snow. See for yourself below.

Full-Length Side Zippers

Zippers have been integrated into the side of each leg for quickly dumping heat, robust ventilation during high exertion activities, and dropping/adding zip-off baselayers. The zipper's crownless slider and paracord toggles reduce pressure points and noise.

Removable Knee Pads

Removable knee pads constructed of durable, closed cell high-density EVA foam provide hunters with in-field comfort while kneeling or when in a prone shooting position. Secured by an interior mesh pocket, the knee pads are easy to remove for washing or activities that don't demand their presence.

Waterproof & Reinforced Components

The pant's knees and seat feature a nylon chap and an interior waterproof laminate for increased durability and water resistance.

Double Sided Cargo Pockets

The cargo pockets were relocated to the front of the pant for quicker access. They feature a double pocket storage system with an easy-entry area on the back and a closed crown zippered top pocket for comfortable security.

Rigid Waistband & Numeric Sizing

Our rigid waistband anchors the pants no matter how much you load them up with gear. The numeric sizing lets you dial in your fit to your favorite pair of jeans.

As the weather turns increasingly unpredictable, the Catalyst Foundry is your best ally for going farther and staying longer in the field. By blending some of our best features into one softshell pant, a formidable tool has been added to your kit for punching late season tags. Removable knee pads, waterproof layering in the seat and knees, 37.5 fleece lining, and mapped brush chap panels keep you protected and comfortable from sunup to sundown, making these pants a sure bet when the conditions are anything but predictable.

This pant uses a rigid waistband with no stretch. If your waist falls close to or directly between sizes, select the next size up.
